Samsung C & T Corporation Willing to Sponsor Varsity Teaching & Referral Hospital

Since 2014, the University of Nairobi has had plans of building a teaching and referral hospital. Following this quest the University has been looking for partners to fund this project.

Samsung C &T Corporation is one of the sought partners. Samsung is a mother company to Samsung C &T. This branch of the corporation deals with project development.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi said that currently the University uses Kenyatta National Hospital for its teaching medical school. As the Hospital is a government owned hospital, UoN does not fully get its research needs met. It is from this limitation that this project was birthed.
