The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation invites applicants for its grant for
an organization to support and strengthen geospatial data in Africa.
This aims to support an organization that will advance the quality,
completeness and sustainability of geospatial data in Africa. Selected
organization will serve as a strategic grant maker, capacity builder, and
effectively coordinate with others working in mapping and data on the
continent.

These Awards support business-led collaborative projects that develop any
relevant innovative solutions from across all sectors of agri-tech or
other industrial sectors, and that advance the sustainable intensification

(3)        Interdisciplinary research innovation awards on conflict and
international development

The Arts and Humanities Research Council and Economic and Social Research
Council, under the Partnership for Conflict Crime and Security Research
(PaCCS) theme and via the Global Challenges Research Fund, invite
proposals for the interdisciplinary research innovation awards on conflict
and international development. These aim to contribute to the welfare and
economic development of low- and middle-income countries. Applications can
address any topic of relevance to the PaCCS theme provided they focus on
conflicts in the LMIC contexts and any connection with international

(4)        Raising learning outcomes in education systems
The Economic and Social Research Council, in collaboration with the
Department for International Development, under their education systems
research programme, invite applications for their third raising learning
outcomes call.
This programme aims to build the evidence on critical policy areas that
currently constrain education systems in developing countries from
translating resources into better learning for all, and ultimately
positive social and economic change.
Proposals are welcome from across the social sciences, and particularly
multi- or interdisciplinary collaboration. Principal investigators can be
from anywhere in the world and researchers from developing and developed
countries can work together in any configuration of their choosing.

(5)        Strengthening of public health programmes to address communicable and
non-communicable diseases in the Republic of Kenya

The Agency for International Development (USAID) invites applications for
its grant on strengthening of public heath programmes to address
communicable and non-communicable diseases in the Republic of Kenya,
including the president’s emergency plan for AIDS relief (PEPFAR). This
aims to improve public health in Kenya
Applications are open to any type of entity.
The total budget is US$30 million, with annual funding limited to
US$5.95m. One grant will be awarded.
