UONAA launches Mombasa Campus Alumni Chapter

The University of Nairobi Alumni Association (UONAA) officially launched Mombasa Campus Alumni Chapter at a colorful Gala event on Friday, 5thApril, 2019 at the Voyager Beach Resort in Mombasa County.

The Launch was presided over by  the Governor Lamu County, Fahim Twaha, who is an alumnus of the University of Nairobi.  Also present at the launch was the Chairman, UON Alumni Association, Mr. Isaac Awuondo, DVC Academic Affairs Prof. Julius Ogengó representing the Vice-Chancellor, UONAA Executive Committee Members, Staff of Mombasa Campus and over 150 alumni from across the Coast region.  Mombasa Alumni Chapter becomes the 17th Alumni Chapter to be launched and the 1st regional chapter since the inception of UONAA in 2005.

In his address to alumni, H.E Fahim Twaha requested alumni to come together and support their alma mater through supporting students’ scholarship, mentorship programs and offer Job opportunities to graduates leaving University of Nairobi.  He promised to specifically support the scholarship fund once the structures have been put in place by the Alumni association.  For more information about UON Alumni Association log on to alumni.uonbi.ac.ke
