Send by email

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation, the Council of Governors together
with the Water Services Trust Fund, KEWASNET, KEWI and other collaborating
institutions are organizing for the 2016 Kenya Water Week to be held from
21st – 25th November, 2016 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre
(KICC).

The Conference themed “From Aid to Trade: Enhancing Business Partnerships
and Innovation for Sustainable Water and Sanitation provision & irrigation
in Africa” gives recognition to the global shift from Aid to Trade, and
the need for sustainable financing and development.

As part of the Conference, the Water Services Trust Fund (WSTF) is running
an innovation challenge aimed at promoting and upscaling innovations in
the water sector. The innovation challenge is to reward exceptional
innovators who have developed outstanding products, technology, service
delivery systems or services that enhance water services delivery or
protects water quality. Innovations are invited in the following thematic
areas: water services, water resource management, waste water treatment
and management.

The most promising innovations will be awarded a cash prize and for ideas
that can be translated into business will be linked with incubating
centers.

Deadline for submissions for the WSTF Innovation Challenge 2016 has been
extended to Friday October 21, 2016.
