Introduction
The physical location of the Department is at Kikuyu Campus, Faculty of Social Sciences. The Department was started in 1992 under the umbrella of Geography Department with enrolment of a population of 50 students serviced by part-time lectures.
Student numbers grew tremendously and necessitated the establishment of a fully pledged Department in ________. The Department got an establishment for six lectures and are all currently filled. The Department was established to address the uniqueness and the location of the college of Education & External Studies.
