French Multinational Company ,Olvea Kenya, signs up for TPA

French Multinational Olvea Kenya has joined other French multinationals and 2 local Kenyan companies in signing the Tripartite Partnership Agreement (TPA) between the University of Nairobi the two consortiums of French Universities ParisTech and Centrale Supelec.

The purpose of the agreement is to improve standards of Engineering and science training under the Science and Engineering complex (SEC) project –funded by the French Development Agency (ADB) at the University of Nairobi.

Nicolas Van Der Velden, Olvea Kenya, Country Manager said that they are happy to work with the University of Nairobi in their current business expansion strategy in Africa. The company will provide internship opportunities for UoN Engineering and Science students

While speaking during the agreement signing event, Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama Gitahi, thanked Olvea Kenya for signing up. He noted that there are relevant departments at the University that can work with Olvea Kenya to support their growth strategy and in the process, the University will benefit from the Industrial attachments and research opportunities.

Olvea Kenya is a French family owned multinational company that deals in production and distribution of vegetable oils including avocado and macadamia. Other companies that have signed up include Total Kenya, Schneider Electric, Bureau Veritas, Elgon Kenya and GDC

Also present to witness the signing agreement were Mr. Brian Ouma, Chief Operations officer, Mr. John Orindi, Director of Corporate Affairs and Ann Nkoidilla, Programs Officer at the Department of University Advancement.
