Payment of 2013/2017 CBA salary and house allowance arrears

This is to inform you that we have received this afternoon of 6th July 2017, the approved 2017/2018 rationalized budget from the National Treasury.
 
Consequently, we have released 47.75% of the 2013/2017 CBA Basic Salary and House Allowance arrears to the bank for onward transmission to staff individual bank accounts.  The remaining percentage of the arrears will be paid to you upon receipt from the Government.
 
I wish to thank all the staff for their patience and understanding when payment approval was being sought.

The attached list is for admitted government sponsored students for September 2017 at the University of Nairobi.
The students are informed to log on to smis portal - smis.uonbi.ac.ke using their Registration number and KCSE Index Number as Password and download their admission letters and joining instructions.

C4DLab - free online course to prepare youth for employment or building a business

C4DLab, the University of Nairobi’s Incubation and Innovation lab has partnered with Barclays Bank to provide with a free online course called "ReadyToWork" which has modules that will give you skills about Money, Dealing with People, Job Searching, Career Development or Starting businesses.
 
The course if absolutely free and you will get a certificate upon completion.
 
You can select your own learning pathway depending on your individual needs and complete the learning online in your own time and pace.

The Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship program for 2018 is now open. We would like to inform you that we will be holding two seminars in order to share more information on the scholarship. The details are as follows:
 
Date: Wednesday, May 03, 2017 and Saturday, May 06, 2017
Time: 2:00p.m. - 4:00p.m.
Venue: Japan Information & Culture Centre, Embassy of Japan, Mara Road,
Upper Hill
 
Registration and Entry is Free
 
Kindly note that in order for one to attend the seminar, registration is required. To register, kindly, send an email to scholarships@nb.mofa.go.jp or call 020-2898513. When registering, please provide us with your name,ID Number (for those over 18) and contact details. In addition to this, kindly specify the day you would like to attend the seminar. Deadline for registration for the Wednesday seminar is Tuesday, May 02, 2017 at 4:00pm while the registration deadline for the Saturday seminar is Friday, May 05, 2017 at 4:00pm.
