Message from the Director, Corporate Affairs

In order to achieve its objectives, it is imperative for the university to build trust and strong relationships with diverse stakeholders for mutual support. The University occupies a pre-eminent position locally and regionally and aspires to enhance its reputation as a world-class university and centre of scholarly excellence. The Directorate of Corporate Affairs will work with other directorates and schools to promote the corporate image of the University.

The value of business is in the image, hence our long- term goal of enhancing our  corporate image means building a strong corporate identity and reputation that will open more business opportunities and enhance corporate support for the University. The corporate environment has become increasingly competitive and unpredictable, but the University has exhibited strength and resilience in adapting to the changes.  The University is also gradually evolving from the status of a public entity reliant on exchequer funding to one that is self-sustaining. To achieve self-sustaining status, the University will need to restructure its business processes in a manner that will inspire stakeholders to support its development goals through enhanced funding. I have a strong conviction that together we can build an indisputably reputable brand.
