Announcement on Commencement and Reporting Dates 2024/2025

COMMENCEMENT AND OPENING DATES
The University of Nairobi wishes to inform the following groups of students (Module I and Module II) that the commencement and opening dates for the 2024/2025 Academic Year are as follows:

1. MONDAY, 19TH. AUGUST 2024- FIRST SEMESTER 
A. Year I (FRESHERS) 
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE (FOA)
FACULTY OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES (FOASS)
FACULTY OF BUILT ENVIRONMENT AND DESIGN (FBED)
FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES (FBMS)
FACULTY OF EDUCATION (FOE)
FACULTY OF ENGINEERING(FOEng)
FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES (FHS)
FACULTY OF LAW (FOL)
FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (FST)
FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE(FVM)

B. Year I
POST GRADUATE STUDENTS

2. MONDAY, 2^nd SEPTEMBER 2024 - FIRST SEMESTER
-Year II, III, IV and V students of FOA, FOASS, FBED FBMS, FOE, FOEng,
FOL, FST, and FVM
- Year II, III, and VI students of FHS
- Year II, III and IV Post graduate students.

- Year V (2019) students of Faculty of Health Sciences (MBChB
program)

2. MONDAY, 30TH SEPTEMBER 2024

 Year VI (2018) students of Faculty of Health Sciences (MBChB program)

NOTE:
First Years are required to apply for Government Scholarship and Loan. Household component will be communicated in due course.In case the Scholarship, Loan and Bursary do not cover the entire cost of your program, the deficit will be met by your parent/guardian.First Years are advised to apply for accommodation online. Log into http://smis.uonbi.ac.ke using registration number as the username and KCSE index
number as the password.

Click *book room tab* then 2024/2025 link. After filling in all the required details,  the student should click *Apply for a room* tab to submit the application.

Continuing students are required to pay fees before commencement of classes.
