UoN maintains top rank in Kenya
UoN has maintained its lead position in Kenya; ranked 14 in Africa and 1101 globally. This puts the University at the top 4% of all the universities ranked globally.
In Kenya, Kenyatta University followed at number 52, while Egerton University was ranked 74.
This was announced through the webometrics website in the ranking released in July 2022.
South African Universities took position 1, 2 and 3 in Africa; University of Cape town, Witwatersrand and Stellen Bosch University respectively.
While in East Africa, Makerere University took lead at number 13.
Webometrics, through its website, revealed the different methodology used to arrive at the different ranks, “The Presence indicator has been discontinued while Visibility took 50%, Transparency and Excellence took 10 % and 40% respectively.”
