The event saw enthusiastic participation from staff, students, and partners, all united in a noble cause: raising resources to support the University of Nairobi Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, dedicated to aiding needy students. The walk provided an excellent platform for participants to interact and forge valuable networks, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie as alumni, current students, faculty, and partners came together to contribute to a
meaningful initiative.
In his remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama welcomed the guests and expressed heartfelt gratitude for their significant support. “This walk is not just about raising funds; it is about showing solidarity and commitment to the future of our students. Your participation today speaks volumes about the strength and unity of the University of Nairobi community,” he said.
The University of Nairobi Alumni Association Walk marks the beginning of what is expected to be an annual tradition, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to providing educational opportunities for all deserving students. The funds raised through this event will go directly towards scholarships, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder talented and ambitious students from achieving their academic dreams.
