He went ahead to seek collaboration in hosting the event based on the long standing partnership agreement that the University has with Parliament.

On his part, the Speaker assured the team that Parliament is ready and willing to collaborate with the University, he remarked, ‘We have noted with concern the financial struggles that universities in Kenya are going through and whenever we can come in to help, we will and we shall.”

He also announced that the President is keen to address the challenges that universities in Kenya are facing financially; He said, ‘When a doctor, an engineer, an architecture, and other career specialists are trained poorly, then they execute poorly; there is need for a thorough inquiry on what we need to do for Kenyan universities to improve the quality of education.’
