The Vice Chancellor invites all staff and students to the official opening of the World Students Summit for Sustainability by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya, Rt. Hon. Raila A. Odinga on Tuesday, 13th November, 2012 at 11.00 am at the University of Nairobi’s Taifa Hall.

Theme: "Student's leadership and innovation towards a  green economy"

The summit is part of UNEP's agenda of greening Africa by using the community of university students.

All guests to be seated by 10.30 am.

Invitation to a Public Lecture

The Vice Chancellor, University of Nairobi invites all students and members of staff to a public lecture by Ford Foundation President Luis A. Ubiñas who will be reflecting on ‘Fulfilling the Promise of Democracy in Kenya.’

The lecture will be held on Monday, November 12 2012 at 2.00 pm in Taifa Hall, Main Campus.

Guests to be seated by 2.00 pm.

For the third consecutive time, the University of Nairobi, School of Economics hosted the launch ceremony for the annual Regional Economic Outlook for Sub-Saharan Africa by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the Education Theatre II, yesterday 22 October, 2012.

UoN Choir wows Kenyans

The University of Nairobi Choir, is one of the Choirs that were invited by the Presidential National Music Commission, to perform during this year’s Mashujaa Day Celebrations, at Moi Stadium in Kisumu. The culmination of their performance was when Kisumu Town East MP, Shakeel Shabbir joined them in the song and dance celebrating the nation’s heroes.

The University Choir, which is popularly known for its unique set of African themed songs has grown in stature and influence since its formation over thirty years ago.
